Two of my students, Bradley White and Theo Christensen, had the absolute privilege of attendingthe Madame Curie Senior High School Chemistry Camp, accompanied by the Otago Universityoutreach team.
Theo and Bradley both spoke to the Taieri College students, as well as the local Rotary club about their experiences. They also featured in an article about their experiences in the local newspaper, and in the school magazine. Both students have carried onto tertiary study, Theo is studying Chemistry and Physics at Otago University, and Bradley is studying Engineering at CanterburyUniversity (where he has been accepted into 200 level papers straight from high school).
The trip to the chemistry camp provided both boys with an enriching experience, and from the comments of both of them I feel confident they also contributed positively to the Taiwanese students who attended. I am extremely thankful to Dr. Dave Warren and Prof. C-Y Lee for providing the opportunity.
Kind regards
